Foundation (mission, vision, values, staff & board)

In November of 2014, the Mother of Mercy Foundation was formed for the purpose of restoration of the Historic Kneipp Santiorium.

In March of 2015 Sheri McBride was hired as the first executive director working closely with the original three board members.

As a private foundation directed by Roman Catholics who are in obedience to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church and communion with the Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend, we strive to:

  • assist the faithful laity, clergy, and religious to build authentic faith communities
  • enhance vocations and provide spiritual renewal
  • Sustain the Our Lady, Mother of Mercy Center as a blessed place of prayer, peace and sacraments.

The Vision of the Foundation is to Support the Our Lady, Mother of Mercy Center in her mission of calling the people of God to return to purity, in spirit, mind and body.

The Our Lady, Mother of Mercy Foundation has four key values. Subsidiarity, lasting impact and influence starts on the local level, one individual at a time. Service, to perform and assist religious and laity in need of spiritual renewal achieve greater union with our Savior and His Church. Sustainability, use the resources of the property in such a manner as to not be dependent on outside forces and maintain its historical value. Zeal, we cheerfully submit to the will of the Lord in utilization of the property.
